M25 Heathrow Airport slip roads closed after vehicle crashes into overhead gantry

Two M25 slip roads near Heathrow Airport has been shut after a vehicle crashed into an overhead gantry.

National Highways confirmed shortly after 4pm today (Monday, June 5) that the Clockwise Jct 14 roundabout entry slip road is closed. The incident was first reported at 1.15pm.

The Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 spur within Jct 14 onto the M25 Clockwise has also been shut following the crash.

Live traffic cameras show damaged parts of the gantry dangling from the structure following the impact. Both slip roads are likely to be closed for the rest of the day.

AA traffic maps show heavy congestion in the area as rush hour traffic builds up around the closure.
