Gorge upon mac and cheese, fondue, cheese burgers and cheesecakes when food festival organisers Blue Collar celebrate the melty, gooey and stringy stuff.
The group which runs a weekly market in Market Place, Reading town centre has a range of delicious food on offer every Wednesday.
But now founder Glen Dinning has announced his company’s summer festivals and, as well as the usual Forbury Gardens takeover, there will be meat and cheese markets in Reading too.
The town centre gardens are said to have hosted an annual cheese fair way back in the 18th century, and Glen hopes he can drag some of that history into 2018.
Add to that a meat market in the restored Reading Abbey grounds later in the year and 2018 is looking like a great year for food and culture.
